Survivor of Jason Vorhees (Fan fiction)

Hi everyone, my name is Ted. I was a counselor at camp Pack-a-nack years and years ago, the camp that sat on Crystal Lake, I’m sure you’ve heard of it. With all of the tragedies that have happened there, there’s no way that someone could not have heard of it. I was just a teenager when I was a counselor, only 17 at the time. I’m a survivor of the Friday the 13th massacre, me and Ginny are. Ginny took the brunt of what that monster Jason Vorhees did. Paul didn’t make it, he sacrificed himself to save Ginny. Me, I was getting wasted at the local bar in town and hanging around the ladies while my friends and bosses got hacked away. I’m still shaken by it to this day.

I’m 54 now. I don’t keep in touch with the others that survived at the bar with me, they don’t understand how this has affected me. Ginny is the only one I really talk to about this whole thing. Ginny is one of the only people I really talk to and trust. We’re close friends and have been for a few decades. You’re probably wondering why I’m writing this now, so many years later, after so many Friday the 13ths have passed. Well, in the newspaper there was an advertisement hiring camp counselors for Camp Timberwood on Crystal Lake. I was originally going to leave it alone since camps and summer get aways have been destroyed one year after another, but then I found out that my niece was going to be a counselor.

“Ginny, we need to stop them. That place is cursed!” I slammed the paper down on the oak table. I was furious.

“How can we? People are going to continue to try to open camp there. No matter what we say or do it won’t make a difference.” Ginny sighed and took a sip from her white coffee cup. Her aged eyes looked up at me, tired and worn out.

“We can’t sit here and do nothing!” I began to pace back and forth, thinking about what to do.

“I don’t know what to say Ted. It doesn’t matter how many people die, they’re going to-“

“MY NIECE IS A COUNSELOR! I don’t want that fucker to take her. Now I never had any kids, but I love my niece like as if she was my daughter. I couldn’t live with myself if something happened to her.” I ran my hand through my salt and peppered hair.

“I couldn’t live with myself when Paul was killed. I still can’t.” Ginny said somberly.

“You have to help me, please. You’re all I’ve got left. No one is going to believe me.” I pleaded in desperation.

“Okay, okay I’ll help you.”

“I say that we take this to the courthouse and get them to shut down the camp,” I stated confidently.

“They’re not going to do that unless if you find proof that the camp is unsafe.” Ginny took another sip of her coffee.

“We need to find proof that Jason is still out there.” I said in a sense of urgency.

I stopped pacing and stood in front of the table in the dining room. The soft sound of birds chirping started to calm me down. I looked out the window over the table and looked over the neatly groomed yard and woods in the background. I took a deep breath and took in that moment that I realized that I wasn’t entirely alone.

“Well, Jason is supposedly dead, for good from what I have heard. He’s supposedly either at the bottom of the lake, or buried next to his mom. There have been so many stories out there one what has happened to him I don’t even know what is true anymore. He could be in space for all I know.” Ginny chuckled.

“I know someone that can get us into the camp without us rising any suspicion at all.”

“Alright. I’m in.”

To be continued…
