Many moons ago, a young woman and her pet wandered on the path of lost and found. Lost souls wandered on these paths during troubled times, hoping to find the answers they are looking for. These passerbys would see the woman and her pet together hand and hand. However, every passerby noticed something off about the woman and the dog. Both beings glowed a translucent blue and seemed to be walking on air. Their feet touched the ground, but only just. Some have claimed to see orbs or perhaps wings on the young girl and her pet.

Whenever a passerby would see them, the pair would be spotted dancing, waltzing, or even skipping. Other times she would pass by, smiling or even say hello and her companion would either bark twice, or walk up to the passerby, expecting to be petted.

The young woman was eventually called the Grave Dancer and her pet the companion. She wasn’t called that for the sake of dancing around gravestones; but for the sake that she would radiate her infinite light during grave times for the lost passerbys. 

It was said that the Grave Dancer and her companion would only show when a passerby is under great distress. If the passerbys considered taking their own lives, she would be there. If the passerbys had a loved one who was in critical condition or perhaps on their death bed, she would be there. If the passerbys were lost, she would be there to help guide them in the right direction.

No one really knows where the Grave Dancer and her companion came from, or why she does what she does. Some claim that maybe she’s an earth angel, or some sort of spirit guide. Regardless, she has saved many lives, lifted spirits of the broken, and helped sooth the mourning with her dance.

Today she can still be spotted dancing with her companion from time to time. If you feel lost, defeated, heartbroken, or even wanting to give up, follow the road. The Grave Dancer and her companion will help you find the way.
