Dream Journal- Meditation Experience

Last night before bed I decided to spend some time doing some heavy meditation. I spent a little over 30 minutes meditating with binaural beats with music. When I was meditating, I saw and felt something very very magical.

At first I saw myself in the cosmos and I was gently floating into the arms of a goddess like figure, made from the stars and cosmos around us. I could feel myself falling into a deeper state of meditation.

I saw myself standing on the ground right next to a middle-sized tree. I wasn’t in a human form at all. I remember being some kind of animal, a mix between a wolf, a dragon, and something else. I was a light blue color with bright blue eyes. I could see myself running and then taking off from the ground and going up higher and higher into the summit. I could see orbs and smaller energy forms forming around my shoulders and wings as I went through several layers of clouds. They followed me as the ones who were meant to stay on the ground, stayed on the ground. I was tempted to look back, but I didn’t. I was urged to keep going higher.

At one point I heard something say, “This is what happens when you get sick and don’t take care of yourself” I saw myself falling from the sky and then falling into a body of water. I felt tired and alone. I wasn’t able to get back up into the sky. I came back out and wandered along the side of the water, through thick brush and trees, trying to find a place to recuperate. I found a place to lie down for a bit. Then I remember getting up and finding a small waterfall. There was someone there by the waterfall. I don’t quite remember who the person was, but they felt familiar. I also remember at that point being a human again. The waterfall began to glow and then light began to fill everything around us. Life began to bloom and the color was restored within everything around me. The person by me waved at me and then I took off into the skies again.

After awhile all I could see is what appeared to be a valley created by the cosmos. It was filled with dark red and purple dust. I could hear a gentle voice speaking affirmations to me which made me feel at ease. That same voice told me to ignore the ones that spoke poorly about myself, the one filled with negativity that would throw me off. That was the voice that was my ego; the ego that is influenced by anger and fear. After that I woke up feeling relaxed and ready for bed.

Those Ancient Hills (Pet Sematary Fanfic)- The Doctor’s Visit

shutterstock_381286231-760x506

I decided to go to see a GP after school today. There was a doctor on site so I thought ‘Eh, why not?’.  I called and set up an appointment on Monday. I came in on Friday around 3 pm and saw Dr Crowley. He was really nice, despite his dry humor and terrible bedside manner. The appointment was quick, painless, and first time visits are free, so it didn’t cost me a dime. The conversation at the doctor’s office keeps running through my mind. I’m not entirely sure why though.

“Ah! Alex! It’s good to see you, how are you doing today?” In came a middle-aged man, light blue eyes, dark brown hair with a receding hairline. He was about average height of a man his age, wore goofy, thick rimmed glasses, and fashioned light blue scrubs.

“I’m doing good! How are you?”

“I’m doing alright, thank you. My name is Doctor Crowley. I’m the practitioner on site today. How can I help you today?”

“Let’s see, I have been having some trouble sleeping for the past couple weeks. There’s this nightmare that I’ve been having that just won’t go away.”

“I can see in your file which was transferred by a Doctor Daniels that you have a history of having trouble sleeping and insomnia. Is this correct?”

“Yes this is correct.”

“From what I can also see is you have a history of trauma and family crises in the past as well as-?”

I cleared my throat and coughed out,”Yes.”

“I won’t go into any further details about those past events if you wish.”

“I say just do whatever feels right to you Doc. I just want to be able to get some sleep again.”

“I’ll tell you what” He sat on a stool with wheels and sat a few feet in front of me. “This is a common thing for a lot of people, especially college students to go through whenever they are dealing with big changes in their life such as moving, starting a new job, etc. Lack of sleep and new stressors can really have an impact on the human body and psyche believe it or not. Stress can manifest itself in different ways whether it be wanting to stress eat, have trouble sleeping, increased anxiety, you name it.”

“You don’t think I’m crazy?”

“Absolutely not!” He laughed. “Here’s what we’re going to do: first off I am going to refer you to a local psychiatrist, Doctor Shirley! He is also a dear family friend of mine and great doctor as well. He works a couple streets down from the campus. So you can just take this slip into the office and set yourself up with him.” He quickly wrote out a slip of paper and handed it to me.

“Doctor Shirley is much more experienced with psychopharmacology than I am. I’m just a General Practitioner and I want to make sure that you can get the best treatment you can get. I can help you with the other shit. Oh excuse my language!”

I chuckled a little bit and felt a sense of relief. “What should I do in the meantime until I set up an appointment?”

“In the meantime, I recommend using over the counter supplements. Have you tried Melatonin, Valerian Root, or Chamomile?”

“Melatonin, yes. The others, no.”

“You should be able to find them at any local market like Walmart, Target-“

“I work at Target so I can just get some from there.”

“Excellent!” He grabbed another piece of paper and wrote down some more scribbles and then handed it over to me. “Here is a list of supplements that I recommend for anyone with sleeping problems to use. And none of these would interfere with your current medications. Is there anything that I can do for you today?”

“No, I think that’s it! Thank you so much for your help Doctor Crowley.”

“It was good seeing you Alex! Here is a slip to give to the receptionist at the front desk. I would like to see you come back in a month just to see how you’re doing.”

“Oh okay! Thank you! Have a great day.”

“You too. Take care.”

I thought it was quite odd that he wanted to see me again in a month, but then again I’m no doctor. I stepped out the door and walked down the light green and brightly lit hallway, took a right, then found myself back at the receptionist’s desk. I gave her the paperwork, she set me up for an appointment next month, and I was about to walk out the glass door when I heard something.

“Allleeexxx….. Al—- ex… the soil- oil-“

“Huh, what?” I turned around and didn’t see anything. I didn’t hear anything after that, thankfully. I thought that maybe I overheard a conversation about something in the hallway. Soil? Where did that come from? Maybe I passed by some Botany students…

I shrugged it off and got into my car. As I pulled out of the spacious parking lot, I saw a dark gray cat run right behind my car. I jolted to a stop, looked in the rearview mirror, then saw the cat scurry off to a pine tree that was adjacent from my left bumper. The cat stared at me with dilated pupils engulfed in reflective light. It was absolutely terrifying! It made me jump for a second, then I regained my focus, pulled out of the parking lot, then drove to work. Everything from there was same old same old at la Target.

That night I got back home and one of my roommates was studying on the couch. Jeff, Danielle, and I ordered pizza and coke, stayed home, and watched Netflix until about 3 am. We watched The Office and Breaking Bad intermittently. It was a very good day! I completely forgot about what happened that day. And oh my god, that night was the best night of sleep I had in a long time. No bad dreams! It was like this for a week and then that damn dream started to come back. And when it came back, it was full force and then some. I will never forget how vile the dream was. It just felt so real! I don’t understand why I kept seeing this damn wooden cross over and over again. The thing is I could see everything like as if I was awake. I was kneeling down at this decrepid old cross. I was wearing black dress pants and black loafers, but the thing is I was honestly surprised I could tell what I was wearing because I was soaked with thick gray sludge and mud. There was a shovel off to the side laying in the grass. It was completely drenched in blood, handle to spade. I looked down and my hands, which were all scratched up and covered in dirt. Hearing the voices had to have been the worst part of it all. Majority of the voices that I heard in the dream still seemed to be inaudible, except for this one statement that I can’t get out of my head. It was a deep guttural voice that growled,”The s-soil-oil of a man’s heart-t is s-st-st-stonier”… goddammit!!! Every time I hear that saying in the dream, I scream myself awake and find myself completely drenched in sweat. It’s just so fucking creepy and I don’t know what the fuck it means! I still can’t get the scent of old and wet rotting mud out of my nostrils.

The timing of the bad dreams was impeccable because I had an appointment set to see the new shrink that Friday. Whenever I scream from a nightmare, it wakes up my roommates. Jeff and Danielle bust into my room every night to make sure I’m okay. I feel so bad for waking them up! They tell me not to feel bad, but I do. I’m really really hoping I can get some answers soon. This is absolutely ridiculous. I will share whatever answers I get from the doctor as soon as I get them.

Peace!

-Alex

Those Ancient Hills (Pet Sematary Fanfic Intro)

shutterstock_20337352

Hey guys, my name is Alexander Greevason (it’s a weird name, I know). I’m 21 and was born and raised in Michigan. There has been a lot of big changes that have been rumbling in my life lately and I wanted to create a blog. I love to write and I especially love to entertain people with my stories. I’m so happy that I finally found a platform to write on that seems legit. I don’t like most blogging websites like Reddit, Tumblr, Google+ shit or do I like anything that has a whiff of anything that could be interpreted as something that it isn’t. When I found WordPress, I was totally stoked!

Anyway, back to the big changes! I just recently got my Associates in Fine art and a minor in Sociology. It took me three years to get it, but I FINALLY got it. I worked 40 hours a week at a local bookstore-cafe which was nearby my parent’s house and even closer to the school. My parents were so supportive and encouraging. Life was good!

Earlier this year, I found out that I got into University of Treadlock, Maine. I was absolutely ecstatic. I threw a huge party the next day. They are one of the top ten schools in the US with an amazing Liberal Arts program. Within the Liberal Arts Program, Political Science, Sociology, and Psychology are the top three undergraduate programs at that school. There’s an 83% acceptance rate, 63% of school body is made up pf transfer students, and 97% of graduates end up going into the profession that they went to school for. I could keep going on and on about the great things this school has to offer, but there are a few factors outside of education that really makes me want to move to Maine.

Jeff and Danielle, my friends from childhood are going to the same school with me. We were basically friends at birth give or take. We went to the same elementary school, jr high school, high school, and community college. All of our families are tight nit. Jeff wanted to be an Engineer and Danielle either wanted to be a Teacher or a Veterinary Technician. I want to become an Author and an English professor at U of T.

The move for my friends and I was easy peasy. However, the move was more difficult for our families than it was for us. I think it was even harder for my parents to adjust because they didn’t understand why we were moving so far away. The truth is, even though my life had been good for the most part I really just wanted to move onto something bigger and better. My family and I hit some rough patches in the past, but that wasn’t going to get in the way of my dreams. Honestly I thought that maybe moving would make things easier for my family so they could focus on their own stuff and I could focus on mine.

Now, fast forward about 7 months, Jeff, Danielle, and I just found a condo not too far away from school. It had 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms, a massive kitchen and living room area, a basement, and an attic. We found it odd that it had both an attic and a basement, but we shrugged it off. This place was in really good shape! It was freshly painted inside and out, massive windows with an amazing view of the campus and a river that sat behind it from a hilltop. It also had a fridge, dishwasher, washer and dryer in the basement, and central air. It wasn’t furnished, but that was no problem for us. Everything was perfect.

This place was only 3k-4k a month, depending on if we had pets coming with us or not. Danielle brought her 13 year old cat, a male Calico named Mr. Jenkins (this cat was a major oddball, or should I say furball), Jeff brought a boxer-husky mix named Jack, and lastly I brought a black fighter fish named Bethoven and a rabbit named Galileo. Everything was going great for the past few weeks. Classes have been going well for us as well as our part time jobs. Danielle was a front desk associate at a local library, Jeff got a job at Target as a hardlines worker, and I worked at the Starbucks/Cafe within the same store.

I’ve been having some really bad dreams lately and I really can’t figure out why I’ve been having them. First they started out as flashes of black and white light, then I slowly started to see an old illegible and decrepid gravestone made of wood sitting on top of a pile of crabgrass. I’ve been waking up in a cold sweat, hearing whispering in both of my ears. This has been happening for the past week or so and I’m really not sure why. I hope I’m not going crazy…

If this continues, I’m going to go see a doctor and see if maybe I need an adjustment to my medications. Oh well! We shall see how these next few days go.

Peace out!

I Have an Obsession with the Paranormal

creepy-vintage-photos-mask

(Continuation from previous post)

The following events that I’m about to describe might be frightening or unsettling to others. This is a warning for readers who scare easily: reader discretion is advised. I will put it out there that no one was seriously injured during this expedition. It has been many years since we went on that hike in the dead of night, searching for lonesome ghosts. There were some things that happened between Joe, Kevin, and myself. I do not personally have any grudges or anything like that with them. I do not condone what they have done… at least I am 99% sure that what happened was their doing. Anyway, back to the story.

Joe, Kevin, and I stood upon the entrance of an old hiking trail. The moment that the light of the flashlights illuminated the trail, a plethora of dancing dust particles appeared. Every step we took on that path felt like it lasted a century. The lights from the flashlights being rotated from side to side made shadows contort into unnatural forms. I swear to god that forest was unnaturally quiet that night. Not a single cricket, frog, or breeze could be heard. It was just so dead out there…. I swear that I could see figures and random pairs of glowing eyes appear out of the corners of my eyes every few moments. All of us were just as quiet as the forest for the first 20 minutes of our hike. Thankfully there wasn’t too much overgrowth that we had to weave and wobble through.

“How much further away is this haunted cemetery-church thing?” I whispered.

“Well according to the map, we are only about 5-10 minutes away from the church and cemetery.” Joe pulled out his map and pointed at a red dot which marked the spot of the dreaded place of interest. “So, we’re right here! Not too much farther boys! Are you excited??”

Kevin was absolutely ecstatic. I have never seen him this excited before about anything. Me however… I could feel my stomach drop to the ground and my whole body began to seize.

“Come on! Let’s go!” Kevin said as he ran ahead on the trail.

“Aw shit.” I muttered to myself.

“Hey hey! Kevin stop! Wait for us!”

Joe and I both ran after Kevin. He was getting so far ahead of us, we couldn’t keep up. The overgrowth was starting to get thicker and the trail was starting to get rougher as we ran.

Suddenly we stumbled through a mass of fallen trees and fell onto the ground. Joe and I both looked up and saw a decrepid gateway to a fence that looked ancient. The church and area surrounding the church was very small. The front of the church had a very small, worn down cemetery. Patches of weeds and crabgrass stuck out from dry earth with about 10 weathered down gravestones sticking out of the ground on both sides. The path leading to the door was made of gravel, dirt, and more weeds. Joe shined the light upwards towards the church steps and a small childlike figure made the heavy wood door swing open and shut within an instant.

“KEVIN! KEVIN GODDAMMIT! COME BACK!” Joe yelled at the top of his lungs. I felt a jolt of realization shoot through my spine. My already racing heart was starting to increase into mach 2 speed. I took the polaroid camera out of the bag, and started taking dozens of pictures. “What are you doing Jacob??? Come on!”

“I’m taking pictures of everything!” I exclaimed.

“Chill out on taking pictures for right now and lets go find Kevin before he get’s himself hurt.”

“Okay.” I immediately put the strap attached to the camera on my shoulder and followed Joe into the church. Like the cemetery, the church was just as small. The walls were made of gray stone and some weird plaster stuff that was peeling off the seams of the bricks. There was a bell tower on the top of the church that held a relatively small brass bell. Joe and I walked up the weathered, sand covered steps. Joe tried to pull on the rusty metal handle of the door, but it wouldn’t budge. It was like as if the door was glued in place.

“Dammit! It won’t open.” I tried to pull the handle with Joe as well. With that, the handle ripped out and broke into several pieces. “Shit shit shit shit shit!!! Kevin! Open the door! This isn’t funny!” I tried to bang on the door as hard as I could, yelling for my idiot brother to open it.

“I don’t get it Joe. My brother doesn’t normally do this.” He looked at me and shrugged.

Suddenly there was a loud whisper from a male’s voice saying, “What are you doing?”

Joe and I both jumped out of the seat of our pants and shrieked. There was nothing there… “Christ almighty…” he sighed.

We both turned back around and saw the door wide open with Kevin standing in the doorway, white as a ghost. The handle was intact on the door… the same handle that shattered in our hands.

“What the hell man? Kevin? Why did you run off like that?” I went up the stairs and looked at him straight in the eyes. He didn’t move, blink, or say anything. “Kevin?” Joe poked at him and he didn’t budge.

“BOO!” Joe and I both jumped and found ourselves inside the church with Kevin on the front steps, laughing hysterically. “I got you good!”

“What the fuck man? Why did you run off like that?” Joe looked at him in disbelief.

“What are you talking about man? I didn’t run off.” His heavy laughter started to settle.

“Dude, Kevin you yelled ‘let’s go’ after we looked at the map, then you ran off.” I said impatiently.

“I didn’t run off guys! I ducked behind a bush when you guys tripped over the trees that led to the front of the gate, then I snuck up behind you and scared you.”

Joe and I looked at each other then looked back and Kevin.

“You’re joking, right?” Joe said and crossed his arms.

“No? Why do you think I would run off like that? Our parents would beat us into lunch meat if we all went missing.”

All three of us were jolted by a large thump. We turned around, facing the front of the church and saw a large box hit the ground with papers flying all over the place. The box was sitting on top of a book case which was next to the back door.

We walked up to the box that fell on the ground, picked it up, and started to look through the contents of the box. As Joe and Kevin sifted through the papers, I walked around the church and started to take pictures again. The church had several holes in the walls in the front where stained glass would’ve been. The pews were completely caked in dust and the rug we were standing on was covered in holes. The crucixifion statue was a rusty gold color and that too was completely caked in dust.

“Hey Jacob! Come look at these!” Kevin said. “I found some really cool stuff!”

I walked over to the duo and Kevin handed me a large stack of old polaroid photos… or at least I thought they were polaroid. I started gazing at one picture after the other. There were pictures of weddings, family portraits, and other church events like Christmas, Baptisims, and Easter festivities. Each of them had a date written down on the right-hand corner of them. January 17th 1877, January 19th 1877, Februrary 16th 1877, March 1st 1877, and on and on.

“Damn these pictures are old!” I said. “You’re right Kevin. These are really really cool!”

That feeling began to change as I started to look through moreof the photos. There were even photos of funerals and wakes. Heartbroken families dressed in black staring down at a 6 foot hole which held the deceased. Pictures of the ones who once lived were prominant. Men, women, and an oddly high amount of children. Then I noticed something else. There were pictures of family portraits, but one person in every single picture seemed ‘off’. Some of the people who seemed to be ‘off’ were either lying down or proped up on a chair or standing like a manequin.

“Hey… what are these?” Joe walked over to me as Kevin dug through the piles of papers.

“Oh! I know what those are…. they’re um…” Joe began to scratch his chin and look upwards. “I don’t remember…”

I thought it was really odd of Joe to do, but at the time I really didn’t think much of it. I continued to look through the pictures and then helped go through more of the papers with Joe and Kevin.

I wish I could say that this is where the night ended… but it didn’t. The madness continued to reek havok upon us until dawn; but that’s a post for another day.

Dream Journal- Insight from an Elk

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The dream I had last night seemed to have a heavy emphasis on spirituality and what I need to do to change the way I’m living my life. For the past few months I have been struggling with the lifestyle that I have created for myself. I’m thinking that a divine force from the universe is trying to tell me something through this dream.

When I entered the dream I found myself in a very socially active area with a lot of people. I wasn’t exactly sure where I was or what I was doing at the time. Within the crowds of people, a few iconic folks from YouTube (names anonymous we’ll call them Jane and Jeremy) made themselves known. They stuck from the crowds of people and quite a few of us started to follow Jeremy and Jane while others split into their own groups. A great circular valley formed and a forest lining the mountain sides grew gradually. Jane and Jeremy were very kind and protective people who loved the people who followed them. The circular valley started to develop shelf-like grooves within the rock. A river connected to a waterfall developed from the side of a massive circular rock that was formed within the valley. Everyone took on a groove and created a ‘mark’. The other groups spectated from above and they appeared to be in awe of the development of the valley below. Grassland, orbs and waves of light flowed through the development on the valley.

Over time people started to grow sour and left our group. The development of the valley started to slow down and the flow of energy ceased to exist. The waterfall turned to a trickle which eventually stopped. The spectators left and there was only a few of us left. I looked above where a V-shaped valley developed around the river and a massive Elk showed itself above the cliff and gracefully jumped down to my side. The icons and the few people who were there were either threatened by the Elk or tried to get a hold of Jane and Jeremy to stop me. Another few Elk stood upon the cliff and urged us to go. I was reluctant, yet excited to leave. Jane and Jeremy didn’t stop me from joining the Elk. Jeremy was confident that we would find some compromise so I can meet up with them while I’m able to move freely. I had hoped that we would be in a healthier environment, but the Elk who was at my aid put me on it’s back and took me on a journey where I traveled for what felt like centuries within seconds. I was given the ability to fly, but was kind of shaky with it for not exactly knowing how to in the first place.

Eventually I was stopped in my hometown right in front of my high school. I was taken off track by something and I got split off from the group of Elk. I realized that there was something else I needed to do before moving onto the next level. There were some children that needed to be freed from the harsh hierarchy that ruled the school. Across the street from the school there was a hidden portal with an obstacle course which led to Mother earth (Gaia) in the form of a massive tree within a cliff. A massive wall of waterfalls faced the front of Gaia. I managed to trick the nasty head of the school, got to Gaia, cleansed and freed the kids, and then got back to the high school. One of the Elk found me and had me slowly take off from the ground into the sky. I was too tired to have the assistance of the Elk help me fly so I got onto the back of the Elk and went to our next destination.

We landed into a glass building which was supposedly a Wal-Mart. In reality it was basically a grocery store filled with angry and deceitful people who tried to mug each other. After grabbing what I needed, I was lead to the lanes that lead to an opening gate to an airplane. I was checked out, given a few bags, then lead off to the door which lead to a massive flash of light. I woke up feeling strange yet intruiged by the dream.

I’m wonder what my future entails….

My Favorite Quotes From Metal Songs

METAL-MUSIC

Believe it or not, I really love Metal. I started to listen to Metal when I was in High School and ever since then, I was hooked. Metal-core, Nu-metal, Melodic metal, Death metal, Djent, etc you name it. However, I’m very picky choosy about the songs and bands that I listen to, but there are quite a few songs that grab my attention. I just wanted to share some of my favorite quotes from some of my favorite metal songs. Believe it or not, maybe you might find some insight from some of these song quotes.

  1.  “We make this world worth saving, are you prepared to believe? Kill everything that kills you, live long and die for me.” -Slipknot, Sarcastrophe
  2.       “I left behind this little fact; you cannot kill what you did not create.” -Slipknot, Duality
  3.        “Have faith and you won’t be left behind.” -Veil of Maya, Aeris
  4.        “All my life, I’ve been waiting for something that never came, it never came. But I’ll keep saying. All my life, I’ve been searching for something, to break these chains, to break these chains. And I’ll keep swinging.” -The Ghost Inside, Engine 45
  5.       “I won’t wear the crown of thorns. I won’t wear the mask of Judas. I’ll never be what you want me to be. You’ll never see the beauty I see.” -Bleeding Through, Number Seven With a Bullet
  6.        “I won’t break, not today. I won’t break, not today. Dead like me. Dead like me.”- Bleeding Through, Dead Like Me
  7.        “I’m holding on to a fairytale, we’re moving forward but we’re not there yet.” -A Day to Remember, Homesick.
  8.        “God help those who help themselves, and forget about everyone else. You lost your nerve, you missed the point. God help those with open hands, may they never feel burden again. Yeah I’ll stand up for those who can’t. I’ll close the distance.” -A Day to Remember, Sometimes You’re the Hammer, Sometimes You’re the Nail
  9. “Burn me alive. If you feel that’s justified. I need more than faith, to see you on the other side, the other side.” -A Day to Remember, Justified
  10. “I’ve done this on my own. And I don’t care what you do to me, I won’t hand over, I won’t hand over what is mine. I’ve done this for too long, to let you take it away from me,It’s too late to stop me ‘Cause I refuse. I refuse… to die. I refuse to die!” -Stonesour, Hell & Consequences
