Wooded Path: Going back Home

Going back home seems to be one of the best decisions you have made.

Some of the ash and fog starts to clear up and the wind has blown some of the carnage away.

It only takes you about 15 minutes to get back home and thankfully you are there before dark.

The fact that the power is out and it is night time makes it feel that much more eerie.

You get a bad feeling that causes all of the hair on the nape of your neck stand up on end.

You walk in the door and then a few ideas come to mind.

You haven’t checked the breaker panel yet to see if you could get an idea of what is going on and there’s a back up generator downstairs in the basement.

You look down at your phone to see you have 8 missed calls, 15 text messages, and 6 voicemails.

Your phone is on low battery so you turn it off for a bit to save enough power to use it later on.

Suddenly admist the darkness, you hear what appears to ceramic or glass shattering and heavy footsteps scurrying from underneath your feet.

You are about ten feet away from the basement door and the breaker and generators are both down there.

Perhaps you might need more than a flashlight for this situation… It’s all up to you.

Go in with only a flashlight, it’s probably just a raccoon
