Smile.dog …. Wait, what?

Is this the smile dog?

The smile.dog creepypasta?

Damn, wrong web browser…

               A few months ago I had a massive creepypasta binge that involved ALL of the really classic tales. Ben Drowned, 1999, Candle Cove, The Cell Phone Game, Normal Porn For Normal People, Lost Episodes, you name it. However… one stuck out to me. It was Smile.dog. After reading/listening to a few variations of the original creepypasta, I decided that I wanted to do some digging on the internet. I wanted to figure out where it came from and see if there was an animation that went from version 1 to version 2 of the image. Well… I found something that I wasn’t exactly looking for. So, the overall consensus of the story is that if you don’t spread the word of Smile.dog and the more you stare at the image as it changes to the devil-monster dog thing, you’ll go completely mad. Now… when I found the image above, I went mad… yes I went mad. I could not get away from this image!!! I died laughing whenever I looked at it, and I was like this for 2 weeks straight! My ex room mate thought I went completely nuts. And you know what, I think I did! I still can’t seem to find my marbles…

6 More Common Dream Motifs

I have more common dream motifs that I want to share, which is just an addition to the previous post. (This might become a series depending on how many motifs continue to occur in my dreams or the dreams of those involved with The Dream Gallery or #Dreamshare). Please let me know what you think of these! =)

12509805_10205938281160054_532721270981018748_n         Ocean: Ah the deep blue. What a beautiful, calming sight within a dream’s context. Regardless if the weather is stormy, calm, choppy, clouded, day, or night, its beauty never wavers. In majority of my dreams, I stand at the edge of the shore, staring at the ocean and horizon beyond. Anyway, I have learned over time that the ocean is the representation of the inner depths of our subconscious. The ocean is so deep, beautiful, mysterious… well, so is our inner selves. Who knows what is there? Only the soul does.

Three-Part-Love          Romance: This has been a motif that has come up on and off within my dreams for many, many years now. It really doesn’t seem to matter how old I am, where I am in life, or what I have been preoccupied with, I still feel a soft, gentle, warm feeling within my body and all around me, caressing my being. Objects and people appear to me in such a loving and gentle way, as gentle as a rose. Anyway, I’m still learning about what romance within my dreams truly means. Is this appearing because I need it or want it in my life? Or is it something much deeper… perhaps the motif is reflecting an aspect of myself? Is it the representation of the love and passion I wish to express to others?

Back-to-School        School: The grounds with which lessons, growth, aging, and maturity have appeared on and off within my dreams all my life. The daily impact of school, learning, life lessons, and growth influence my dreams. School, whether in my dream state or not has always represented a place of growth physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. The people, objects, state of school, classrooms, teachers, and grade varies based on where I am in life, especially when I am faced with a great amount of change and growth.

131122232657-sex-couple-feet-bed-story-top         Sex: I am not at all ashamed to say that sex has been a motif that has come up in my dreams. It’s a very symbolic, spiritual, sensual, mutual, natural, and important aspect of our lives. I really doubt that it just represents the state of our libido, but that’s just me. I believe that the nature, location, energy, participants, etc in regards to the sex motif really expresses the connections and their true meaning in our life. Perhaps there is something about the aspect of the relationship(s) we have with people are something we need to pay attention to.

20060123220519!Conch_shell_1           Shell: Pastel-sand colored conch shells, sand dollars, and or seashells have appeared in quite a few of my dreams. After so many dreams, I still wonder what this motif means. Some dream meanings show that seashells or conches are often a warning sign of something. I really do not believe or feel its a warning sign per say, but maybe more of a sign of something to acknowledge or keep in mind. Its not an object  that is ‘out of the blue’ around the ocean, so why would or could it be considered a warning? In the dreams where I do see seashells, they often nearly blend in well with the sand of the shore or with the sunrise/sunset I see beyond the ocean.

        Shore: For a while, I did not really understand what the shore of the ocean meant within a dream. But, from what I can recall it is the gateway, or the portal that connects the conscious and subconscious aspects of ourselves. In just about every dream I have had that involves the ocean, the shore is usually very calm, clean, and smooth. When there is much chaos in my life, then the shore tells a different story.

5 Common Dream Motifs

I have had so many repetitious motifs showing up in my dreams lately. I felt as though that doing a personal analysis (separate from looking at exact definitions on dream analyzing resources) would be an interesting venture to take on.
proxy

Battle: Battle based dreams normally involve something either medieval, spiritual, metaphysical, or something multidimensional. Magic, dragons, mystical creatures, energy manipulation, you name it. I’ve noticed this motif looking back at some of the dreams I have had over the past few months. These battle dreams seem to happen when I’m facing some inner turmoil in regards to a certain person, situation, or aspect of myself. Regardless if it is dream based or not, I always end up being victorious.

narrow-wooden-bridge-backgrBridge: I’ve had dreams of bridges, drawbridges, trails, roads, for lord only knows how long. To me they have always appeared as new opportunities opening up for me. When I’ve had new people, work and school environment changes, moving, lifestyle changes, etc I usually have bridge based dream. Sometimes they have appeared as wobbly, unstable, even loose in some places. to stable, solid, strong, etc. Either way, I somehow still end up crossing to the other side.

Neuschwanstein_Castle_LOC_print_rotatedCastles: This motif baffles me because even though I have used dream analyzing tools… I still do not quite understand what this means. I’ve had dreams of ruins, fortresses, Colosseum, towers, etc and either one have had such interesting scenarios. I’ve noticed issues regarding planning, dragons, transitions, romance, and connections with others. I wonder if the castle walls or structure is based off the dream’s context and overall topic. The most recent one involved intimacy, sexuality, and mutual connections, and what I can recall was that it felt like the energy flowed so perfectly. It seems for now this will remain a mystery.

maxresdefaultClay: I often have dreams where I can shape shift and change into different kinds of animals and various objects. Some of those dreams have involved the use of colorful modeling clay or a flexible medium. Perhaps this has to use with my creativity, flexibility, being able to shapeshift and adapt to whatever comes my way. To me, it also feels as though that I am able to find a way to make everything in front of me useful.

clockClock(s): Big clocks and clock towers have been a significant motif for over a year now. It seems as though, as ironic this sounds, the clock or the clock tower always seems to come into play when I am racing against time in my dreams. But, the dreams always over dramatize the aspect of time like saving someone’s life, completing a compelling mission, running away from or running to something, etc. In my waking state I often feel as though I am working on a time crunch. Perhaps could be something that is reflecting the chaos of things that take place in my life.

Shnaggly Tooth Friend

IMG_0598 Oh dear ms. wiggles;

how do you manage?

You fill my life with laughs and giggles;

but you sometimes do cause a lot of damage.

How does the sun feel on your fur?

Light tan fur reflecting like gold.

I bet if you were a cat, the sun would make you purr.

Also… you have way too much energy to be considered ‘old’.

A little birdie showed me an overlooked fact;

Unfortunately you do not know your own strength.

A shnaggly tooth broke, but you’re still in tact.

Nothing will stop you, not even jumping long lengths.

Alright shnaggle tooth, you chipped a canine;

What am I going to do with you?

But no matter what, you’ll always be mine.
